GeoID_tool

I originally created this when i was at Framestore for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2.

This generate a random number on every selected object which would drive a different texture map variation being applied to it at render time. 

The ID as created on the transform of the geo. It can be found under the 'extra Attributes' tab. 

Each time the create random ID button is pressed it will produce a random number as the seed changes. The random number range is at the moment hard coded to 0-20. I had produced a v08 of this script but lost it at some point. I had some extra feature like specifying the range.

 

the ID number can be removed.
